Meet Yoga Practitioner and Vegan Mexican Foodie Cristhiane Morineau

Vinyasa

Where is your favorite place to practice yoga?

Kula Yoga studio in Chula Vista

What do you like the most about practicing there?

I love the feeling of peace, strength and confidence every time I practice. Kula yoga has the best community, I feel like I’m surrounded by family every time I’m there.

How do you practice yoga off the mat?

I’m more aware of myself and of how I go about my day. I remind myself to be grateful, patient and try new things!

The world ends tomorrow. What would you indulge in tonight?

Spend it with my kids! Maybe sleeping under the stars or by the ocean.

What was your first experience with yoga?

At one of the local gyms. I never really got into it until I started practicing at Kula yoga. I loved it and never looked back since.

What is your favorite food?

Vegan Mexican food

Imagine you’re on the cover of Yoga Journal. What pose would you strike?

Mountain pose

If you could practice yoga anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Tahiti

What would you say to someone who is on the fence about practicing yoga?

To try it! Yoga is for everybody … I always share my experience with friends and encourage them to step outside the box.

Jarabe de palo

Anything else you would like to add?

Yoga has truly changed my life. I’ve gained so much from starting on this journey, I didn’t expect to see so many changes inside and out. I feel calmer, stronger and more confident. I’ve also found an amazingly supportive and loving group of people! I’m excited to continue my practice and see where it takes me.
