Lesa Green rocks! Since the age of two, Lesa has trained in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. She added Hip Hop to her repertoire in high school and Modern dance in college. She has won numerous awards from dance competitions and has been able to create award-winning pieces of choreography. She feels extremely fortunate to have trained at The Ailey School in New York (home of The Alvin Ailey Dance Company) in 2001. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from UCSD (2003), Lesa has choreographed for Southwestern and Grossmont College, various San Diego musical productions and The La Jolla Playhouse, directed multiple competitive dance teams and continues to perform locally. During this time, she also diligently pursued her desire to become a certified personal trainer and teach Yoga (falling in love with Yoga at the age of 18 and continuing to practice ever since). She received her CPT certification in 2007 and completed her 200 HR Yoga teacher training certification under the tutelage of Kathy Lee Kappmeier in 2008. Listen in to what Lesa has to say about teaching yoga, you’ll be glad you did!!
